1:15a Novice here
Ok... So for the longest time, I was very jealous of the Lolita girls... And I have always want to get into the fashion. I mean, I loved the dresses and the print and OMG!! They are just so wonderfully pretty <33 And until now, I wasn't so sure what I was getting myself into.. Was feeling a bit nervous and excited at the same time...
Well... Today.... I ordered my first Lolita item from Japan XD I'm starting small, I guess... I got myself a Meta Lucky Pack <3 And I'm so excited!! I was shaking the whole time while ordering!! I just got my 2 confirmation letters and I'm so happy!! I cannot wait to get the package and be all surprised with goodies~ When I get them, I'll post pictures <3 This is going to be my first order and I'm pretty sure I'll be ordering more^^
(I had ordered one.. but now thinking about it, maybe I should have ordered two....)
Well.. I just wanted to write a post and say yay!!
And I was wondering if anyone else ordered the Meta Lucky Pack! Or if you have ordered them before! I would like some information^^ Thanks!

1:13p Chocolate Chip Cookies??
Hey Guys! I've been trying to make chocolate chip cookies, but EVERYTIME I get a very, very sticky mixture and it' very difficult to place it on the pan...
Moreover, I can't manage to ccok them properly!! They bottom is always burned while the top is still uncooked. Is it because of the recipe or do you think there is something wrong with my oven? Thanks, Anna

9:40a Orange Marmalade Cake
Hi folks!
Last night was my first attempt at making a cake from scratch, and it turned out well so I thought I should share. I used this recipe, without the icing.
I also mixed it by hand rather than using a machine, since I don't have one--the result was that the orange marmalade sank to the bottom of the cake and formed a lovely gooey layer, kind of like pineapple upside down cake. I'm not a huge fan of the stuff myself, but my husband is now very, very happy.

1:23a Hottopic Sinamay Tophat Review
Just got THIS mini top hot from hottopic. Yes, they still suck for most of your loli needs but lately they seem to be getting it right for these cute accessories. Here is what it looks like on my noggin:

It has elastic cord to keep it on your head and the feathers are really nice. The brim is nicely bound with a sort of twill tape or ribbon. There is also what feels like some sort of plastic inside the binding to keep the brim's shape. It is a bit larger than your average mini hat so if you have a small head, i would say this probably isn't for you. Over all totally worth my 20.00 since i friggin LOVE top hats. Edit: I also got to fondle this hat as well. It's actually pretty decently put together for 25.00

12:55a Scalloped Potatoes
Do you know a tasty recipe to make scalloped potatoes? There are many different ways and I was wondering if you know a recipe that is tasty and easy for a beginner (me)? I'm in charge of the side dish for a family meal and so far I'm not doing so great -_-. My family has an English and Scottish background and I thought it would be nice to make a popular English dish for them. Help!

10:45p Art Post: The Swan
So I wanted to start a series of illustrations. I've decided to do two, and this is the "warm-up" series: transfigured wildlife. I started with the Swan, because the sketch just jumped out at me. I spent about seven hours on this, sketching, inking and digitally coloring, and sat still through the whole thing. haha
The pose is inspired by Kira Imai images. I've always been fascinated by tinytiny feet and HUGE skirts paired together.
I hope you like it, and as always, constructive criticism is appreciated:
